Chapter Overview Putting our Infrastructure to work requires financial resources to build new transportation facilities and to operate and maintain both the existing and future facilities. A detailed financial analysis was performed to estimate the available revenues projected to be available to Miami-Dade County through 2040. The forecasted revenues are based on recent federal and state legislation, current policies, population growth, motor fuel consumption, tax rates, vehicle miles traveled, and motor vehicle registrations.
